Directly west of Steamboat Ski Resort county road 14, (known locally as River Road) runs parallel with the Yampa River. South of the Yampa is Tree Haus subdivision which is part of the mountain area. Continuing south east and just 10 minutes from the slopes you enter the South Valley area and neighborhoods of Dakota Ridge, Agate Creek Preserve, Emerald Meadows and Country Green.
